Born in 1964 in Marocco, Philippe Lopez was raised in Marseille, South of France. As a teenager, his deep love of music leads him to collect disco, reggae, new wave and electronic music records. He also attends some mythic live concerts and events: Bob Marley, Fela, Talking Heads and some of the first rave parties.
At the early age of fourteen, he opens his first club in his parents’ Spanish beach house: “the Coconut Club”! From then on, he never stops organizing events for corporate partners or private gatherings with one goal in mind: attendees’ pleasure through quality music.
Philippe Lopez learns both traditional West African drumming and
computer assisted music. He connects the dancefloor to its African's
roots through dub, house and techno loops; his Ableton Live setup
includes an Ipad and the Allen & Heath Xone 3D. Philippe Lopez is co-founder of PHONONS with Vincent Telandro.
Blues, jazz, reggae and traditional music; Talking Heads, Fela and Prince. Electronic music trends from Detroit, Chicago, Berlin and Cologne.
