Vincent Telandro was born in 1980, Antibes, South of France. He's not yet
ten years old when his mother makes him dance House music while his
father is listening Miles Davis in the next room. In 1994, after three years of piano lessons, he discovers computer aided music; at the age of
fourteen, he starts using Cubase with a midi keyboard and an expander. He begins DJing the same year.
In 1995, Vincent meets Yassime aka DJ Mental at the Limelight Records Shop (where he'll work with Nicolas Masseyeff during summer '99). DJ Mental becomes his mentor, he teaches him the basis of electronic music DJing using,
among others things, Axis, Sähkö and Maurizio records. Although Yassime stopped DJing in 1998, he remains one the best DJ's Vincent has ever met (a
DJ Mental mix recorded in 1996 is available here).
Thanks to KC Taylor (Pacha/Subliminal), Laurent N. Garnier
(Limelight), Deejay Master-Gil (Baoli) and Nicolas Masseyeff (Herzblut), Vincent starts to play in clubs and parties at
the early age of sixteen (Disco 7, La Suite, Le Divan, Le Barbar, La
Fourmi, La Villa, Park Avenue, Da Da Da...; Dolly Party, Ibiza
Vincent DJ sets goes from Deep House to Techno through Minimal
and Dub, with a strong emphasis on Detroit and Berlin
trends. After nearly fifteen years of vinyl DJing, he's now using
Traktor, Maschine and X1 controllers. Vincent Telandro is co-founder of Phonons with Philippe Lopez.
